Protocol evidence card
Deep Rest Protocol 01
Speaker-Safe Edition · Version 0.4 · Early-access release
Intended use
A 35-minute, low-stimulation sound environment for adults who prefer audio as part of a bedtime wind-down routine.
Evidence position
Relaxing music may support subjective relaxation and sleep quality for some listeners. This specific protocol has not been clinically tested.
Status
Released as an early-access music control. Formal multi-device and repeat-use listener testing is still pending.
01 / Build record
Controlled in Logic Pro
The current 35-minute reference uses Logic Pro sampled instruments driven by controlled MIDI. Earlier Suno audio candidates were rejected as the continuous bed after voice-like, rhythmic and stability problems.
Sixteen overlapping harmonic fields gradually simplify. No new field begins after 30:25, and the final expression reaches quiet before the file ends.
- No voice or percussion
- No binaural layer
- No continuous noise
- No hidden overnight pulse

03 / Playback
Ordinary speakers, comfortable volume
The speaker-safe edition does not depend on channel separation, inaudible sub-bass or direct bodily vibration. Headphones are optional.
Begin at the lowest comfortable volume. Stop if the audio feels irritating, uncomfortable or more alerting. Do not use while driving or during an activity requiring attention.
04 / Frequency research
One number, one defined job
The separate pacing beta uses a 0.1 Hz amplitude envelope: one gentle rise-and-fall cue every ten seconds. It is intended to support optional comfortable breathing near six cycles per minute. It is not an audible 0.1 Hz tone and is absent from this music-only control.
The 48 kHz master sample rate describes digital recording resolution. It is not a biological or healing frequency. See the research and Hz guide for the evidence behind these distinctions.
05 / Claims boundary
What this protocol does not claim
It does not cure insomnia, repair cells, treat pain, force delta or theta brainwaves, or guarantee sleep. Frequency measurements describe the signal; a frequency number alone is not evidence of a health outcome.
Persistent sleep difficulty, suspected sleep apnoea or severe daytime sleepiness deserves qualified medical advice.
Record updated 29 July 2026. Listener outcomes will be added only with sample size and limitations shown.
